BREADCRUMB Consortium Meets in Bologna for its 3rd General Assembly

On 4–6 February 2026, the BREADCRUMB consortium met in Bologna, Italy, for its 3rd General Assembly, hosted by project partners UNIBO – University of Bologna and Natura Nuova.

The meeting brought together all partners to review overall progress, strengthen collaboration, and align priorities as the project enters its final year.

The General Assembly provided an opportunity to take stock of the work carried out so far, exchange perspectives across work packages, and discuss next steps towards the project’s final outputs. Discussions also focused on preparing upcoming dissemination and communication activities and ensuring strong coordination for the final phase of the project.

In addition to plenary discussions, partners took part in collaborative sessions and a field visit hosted by Natura Nuova, reinforcing the link between project activities and real-world practices along the food value chain.

The consortium would like to warmly thank UNIBO and Natura Nuova for hosting the General Assembly and for their excellent organisation and hospitality, which contributed to productive exchanges throughout the meeting.

“With one year remaining, we are energized to turn knowledge into action, shaping clear, evidence-based recommendations that move us decisively toward food waste prevention and reduction. Rather than reinventing the wheel, we are strengthening the foundations for lasting change.”
