CENTRE DE RECERCA EN ECONOMIA I DESENVOLUPAMENT AGROALIMENTARI-UPC-IRTA (CREDA)

Partner general expertise:  CREDA-UPC-IRTA was created with the intention of establishing a Catalan body dedicated to studying and researching the development of the agri-food sector, taking into account, mainly: the environment, the economy and consumers. Our center works for both public and private sector and government clients.

Partner role: CREDA has two main tasks in the BREADCRUMB project: i) validation of the agent-based model (ABM) using the role-playing game (RPG) and ii) estimation of an economic model to analyse how changes in the marketing standard in any step of the supply chain affect the generation of food waste in the same and in the remaining steps.

COLLABORATING CENTRE ON SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION GGMBH (CSCP)

Partner general expertise: The Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) is an international, non-profit think and do tank, whose expertise lies in multi-stakeholder approaches.

Partner role: Positioning the project’s topic in Germany. Supporting WPs in gathering information on existing food marketing standards, conducting in-depth-interviews with relevant stakeholders in the 27 EU countries, collecting data to generate estimates of the FW generated due to marketing standards in the supply chain of fruits & vegetables together with Lehmann natur, developing marketing cues to target change the consumers attitude towards suboptimal food.The CSCP contributes to the Breadcrumb project with its combined expertise on food waste gained in projects such as the Dialogue Forum, REFRESH, REIF and CHORIZO.

ASSOCIATION DE L'AVICULTURE, DE L'INDUSTRIE ET DU COMMERCE DE VOLAILLES DANS LES PAYS DE L'UNION EUROPEENNE (AVEC)

Partner general expertise: AVEC is the voice of the European poultry meat sector. It facilitates communication and exchange between international organisations and decision-makers, and focuses on key areas like animal health and welfare, food safety and quality, trade and sustainable development. AVEC has 19 members in 17 countries.

Partner role: AVEC is part of the case study for meat (poultry). We provide insight in and data on the marketing standards used in the poultry sector in Europe (EU/national/private schemes). We would like to analyse the impact of the downgraded products from a food waste point of view because they do not fulfill the standards or market access requirements as well as propose alternatives to reduce the food waste and valorise the products in question.
