BREADCRUMB Final Event with ROSETTA and CATALYSE

From Evidence to Action: Food Waste, Food Safety and the Future of Food Systems; BREADCRUMB, ROSETTA & CATALYSE Joint Final Event

On 5 November 2026, the EU-funded projects BREADCRUMB, ROSETTA  and CATALYSE will come together in Brussels for their Joint Final Event, bringing together representatives from research, policy, industry and the wider food system.

The event will provide a forum to reflect on the evidence, knowledge and practical experience generated by the three projects and to explore how these results can contribute to reducing food waste, advancing food safety and supporting viable, sustainable food systems.

Through plenary sessions, policy perspectives, expert discussions and interactive breakout sessions, participants will examine the connections between food waste, food safety, marketing standards, innovation and market practices, exchange experiences and identify priorities and recommendations for policy and practice.

A central question will guide the discussions throughout the day:

How can we reduce food waste, advance food safety and support viable, sustainable food systems?

The event will conclude by looking beyond the individual projects, with joint reflections on future collaboration, continued uptake of project results and the road ahead for more sustainable food systems.
